The White Flag Campaign
Our special 30th Anniversary fund raising campaign is well under way as donors join us to celebrate three decades of presenting railroad history and heritage.
* For White Flag donors of $30, a special coffee mug will be awarded. This handsome mug is imprinted with a picture of the home of the Museum on one side, and a White Flag citation on the other.
* White Flag donors of $300 receive a plaque with a brass plate showing the Museum’s current home at Warehouse B of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Since moving here in 2007, more than 30,000 visitors have been impressed with our facilities.
* White Flag donors providing a generous gift of $3000 receive a plaque with plates of all three homes of the Museum over the years: the Governor Dudley mansion, the Atlantic Coast Line Freight Office Building, and the former Warehouse B of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad.
Banners around the Museum encourage questions from visitors, and we’re glad to explain the Museum’s programs and the meaning of the white flag in railroad use.
We know that raising funds in tough economic times has special challenges, not only for those who ask, but also for those who give. Without public subsidies, however, we rely on those who share our enthusiasm for railroads and the enjoyment we get in telling people about them.
To enlist your support in thizs exciting program, please call the Museum to subscribe at the level that best fits your needs. Remember, this special 30th anniversary campaign runs through the end of 2009, and we look forward to reporting on progress.

The Wilmington Railroad Museum has a great collection of displays that are fun and educational.
On the FUN side are a Thomas the Tank Train play area, operating HO and O scale trains, and a real life-size caboose and steam locomotive.

WHAT OUR VISITORS SAY
Our “Memory Book” gives visitors an opportunity to log in with their own memories or connections to railroading The following are some comments we've received.
Our 3-1/2 year old son is fascinated with trains. We had no idea of the magnitude of his excitement as we drove in and he saw the trains. What a wonderful and magical Museum this is. Hope you can continue to grow.

This is a great Museum. We have been to museums in Sacramento CA, Scranton PA, and England and this one ranks well with them.

Great museum with so much history of the railroad. Wonderful to see people so friendly and interested in all aspects of the railroad. We will take these memories back to New Zealand.
